Who We Are
Mission: To prevent the loss and deterioration of any unique Baba treasures, to preserve and organize materials and artifacts so they can be widely available, and to share Baba’s history and legacy openly with the public.
What We Do
Surveying — Communicate and collaborate with other Baba archives and individuals to determine where and what artifacts and materials exist, and who might need help preserving or donating their Baba treasures.
Planning / Assessments — Determine how much Baba material an individual has and what resources they need to preserve, archive, or donate their treasures.
Rehousing — Place physical documents and objects in protective containers that are designed to preserve the integrity of the artifacts.
Conservation — Store and care for the items in a safe, climate-controlled facility aimed for long-term preservation.
Digitization — Scan documents into a digital image format, and transfer old audio and video data into an updated digital version.
Digital Archive / Database — Organize and process digital files into a digital archive that is searchable by date, subject, and author; protect the files by creating copies stored in multiple locations; proactively adapt to technological advancements.
Sharing / Dissemination — Host a searchable website hub that aims to connect all Baba archives. Keep copies of the “complete” database in strategic places around the world with a 700-year preservation plan.
