Appalachian Community Relief is neighbors supporting neighbors through providing food, water and supplies for WNC.
We are looking for volunteers to help with sorting and organizing supplies and preparing the store for shoppers to come Tuesday-Saturday. We have two shifts on Sunday 10am - 12pm & 12pm - 2pm. You are welcome to sign up for more than one shift.
NOTE: This opportunity is OUTDOORS, however in a covered area. Please plan for the weather for the day.
We are located at the Black Mountain Point of Distribution (POD) at the Ingles Garden Center in Black Mountain.
Must be 18+ year old to volunteer on your own. Minors welcome if accompanied by an adult.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Sorting and organizing supplies for shoppers
- Supporting shoppes one on one in the store
Requirements & Attire:
- Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before your shift
- Comfortable with bending, stopping, walking and twisting
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Wear CLOSED TOED SHOES!!!
- Wear layers easy to move in
