Habitat for Humanity’s busy Restore needs volunteers to help accept donations. Receiving lane volunteers interact with donors, accepting donations, writing a tax receipt if desired, and taking the donations to the appropriate bin or ReStore department where they will then be processed, tested, etc. This is a fun opportunity for a small team to work together, and for those who enjoy seeing treasure come in as they interact with community donors. Also- a great exercise opportunity and a chance to flex your muscles for a good cause!
Habit’s Restore is not able to operate without customers, both in the form of donors and shoppers, and can’t exist without donations. Having volunteers who are willing to help in the donation lane means ReStore can accept what people are willing to give, and then make room for more!
- Youth ages 16-17 are required to bring a youth waiver to this project.
