The Salvation Army in Asheville is a nonprofit organization, an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church, working in Buncombe County to serve people in need of food, clothing, and shelter. The mission of The Salvation Army is to meet human needs without discrimination.
Be a part of our "Volunteer Army" at The Salvation Army - Center of Hope!
- Cooking, Serving, Washing Dishes, cleaning
- Filling bags in the Pantry, handing out filled bags
- Wash, Dry, fold Laundry
- Sweeping, mopping, washing walls, windows
- Complete jobs as requested by the Director of Social Services
Requirements:
- Volunteer application with a background check
- Sign in/out log must be completed during each shift
Skills Required:
- Positive and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to lift more than 5+ pounds
