The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to Bell Ring. The ringing of The Salvation Army bell is not just a sound of a bell, it's the sound of curing hunger, the sound of Christmas to a child in need, the sound of a safe place for our neighbors to sleep. It is the sound of help, hope and comfort to our neighbors when they need it most during the holidays and beyond.
The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers to Ring Bells November 21st thru December 24th (No Wednesday or Sunday ringing). A full shift is 11:00 am - 7:00 pm however, shorter shifts are available. Groups and organizations are welcome to volunteer
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Volunteers will be polite and friendly
- Volunteers will allow donator to place money in the kettle (we do not touch the money)
- Volunteers will wear The Salvation Army apron that will be provided
Requirements:
- Personal transportation to bell ringing site
Skills Required:
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to ring a bell for long periods of time
- Positive approach
Attire:
- Warm casual clothes
- Comfortable shoes
Location:
- To be determined based on bell ringing need.
Health and Safety:
- Masks are optional, must bring your own if you need one
