Asheville Middle School is seeking tutors to work with 8th-grade students in the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 12:00-12:45 PM and/or from 12:45-1:30 PM. Volunteer tutors would work with individual or small groups of students in a classroom setting.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Provide tutoring support for students in small groups or individually
Requirements:
- GED or High School diploma
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work patiently with students
- Complete a background check and volunteer orientation through Asheville City Schools
Attire:
- Comfortable clothing, appropriate to be working in a middle school

- Masks are optional, must bring your own if you need one
